Jerome Collomb

Head of Marketing at MyFeelBack

With 6 years of experience in digital marketing, I have established my reputation working for one of the major players in the e-commerce space, Ebay, having started in the Paris offices then hired to join the headquarters in San Francisco, CA. There I worked within the Product Team leading Social Media initiatives for various Ebay Inc. entities, driving user growth and engagement on the platform.

In late 2012, I co-founded a startup, Appsify.me, aiming to bring iPhone applications development to the masses. After 18 months and 600 paid clients in 16 different countries, my co-founder and I decided to put an end to that adventure as we wanted to explore different paths and challenges in the tech/digital space. Feel free to look for Appsify.me on google for more info!

In June 2014, I joined MyFeelBack as Head of marketing.

MyFeelBack is a robust, scalable, and secure entreprise Saas platform that helps companies capture the customer insights they need to make data-driven decisions and improve their businesses.

Technical Skills

I can say i’m quite good at

Product Management

Most of my experience in product comes from 2 years building and driving Appsify.me. Planning, forecasting and deciding which features to launch, how, when, for what usage, including technical challenges and pricing questions. I co-created, launched, and managed a self-hosted iPhone app creation platform used by 600+ clients in 12 countries.

Social Media Marketing

During my time at Ebay (Paris and San Francisco offices) I was in charge of the social media activities of different Ebay Inc. properties including Shopping.com. That includes driving customers to our websites through various social media channels and tactics such as Facebook campaigns, Pinterest boards, sweepstakes etc.. and reporting.

CRM & Member engagement

I thrive to give the best possible experience to customers, always seeking opportunities to help them get more out of the product. Email marketing campaigns, community management and product evangelism are things I love doing to better connect and engage with customers. My stack? Hubspot, Intercom, Buffer, Mailjet, OptinMonster, Quora, Pinterest...

PR & Media relations

I handled the PR & media for Appsify.me and got some noteworthy publications in the most popular tech medias: Cnet, TheNextWeb, Techcrunch, Zdnet, Frenchweb, Presse-Citron, Maddyness, Clubic and many others. Dealing with journalists is a fine art that requires perseverance, a bit of stratagem, and of course, mastering your elevator pitch.

Design & interface

Although I don't have any design background, I've always been fascinated by… not just how design looks, but how design works. Especially in the mobile apps field, design is 70% of your product. I'm not a designer but know a thing or two, especially big fan of Sketch. I've gathered the best mobile interfaces in a Pinterest board you can find here.

Anything you'll teach me

I believe the best way to learn is not school. It's your own curiosity. Nothing is unreachable if you are passionate and are keen to learn from others. I like to call myself a self starter as I think 80% of the things I know, I've learned them from sharing with others and practicing on the field. I'm constantly learning.
